Show the answer and explanation
Answer: (c) A is true but R is false.
The east coast grows more rice (wide deltas of the Godavari, Krishna, Kaveri, Mahanadi), but it gets LESS rain than the west coast.
Why the others are wrong
(a) Accepts R.
(b) Accepts R.
(d) Rejects A — the deltas make the east the bigger rice producer.
The trap
More rice sounds like it must mean more rain. The east wins on flat delta land and irrigation, not rainfall.
🔒 West coast: 250–400 cm rain but narrow plain. East coast: less rain, big deltas → more rice.
