National Parks and Sanctuaries: asked and not asked.
UPSC has asked 15 of these 20. 9 came more than once. 5 have not come yet. Lock the repeated ones first, then read the rest.

A national park has stricter protection than a wildlife sanctuary: no grazing and no private rights inside. Both come under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
India has over 100 national parks. Jim Corbett (1936, as Hailey National Park) was the first. Hemis (Ladakh) is the largest.
