UPPCS Ancient History Gap Sheet: Prehistory and Archaeological Cultures.

First, the concept

Stone Age labels describe tools and ways of living, not one date for all regions. Hunting and gathering dominated the Palaeolithic; microliths mark the Mesolithic; farming and polished tools are major Neolithic features.

Read a site with its region and evidence. Pottery, burials, crops and metal objects identify a culture, but a single find does not prove that every settlement had the same features.

⚠️ Chalcolithic means copper with stone tools; it does not mean widespread iron use. Avoid absolute claims about the earliest rice or iron evidence.

'Asked' and 'not asked' are checked against every UPPCS question on this site. 'Not asked yet' does not mean it will surely come.
