UPPCS Indian Geography Gap Sheet: The Colour Revolutions of Farming.

UPPCS has asked 15 of these. 7 have not been asked yet. Lock the first list, then read the second: it holds what UPPCS has not used yet.

First, the concept

A 'revolution' here means a planned jump in the output of one farm product. Each one carries a colour name.

The Green Revolution (from 1966) used high-yield seeds, fertiliser and irrigation, first for wheat in Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh. M. S. Swaminathan led it in India; Norman Borlaug was its global father.

UPPCS asks a colour with its product, and the person linked to it. Some colours have more than one meaning in books; the lines below give the meaning most used in exams.

⚠️ White means milk, Silver means eggs, and Silver Fibre means cotton: three 'white-looking' products, three different names. Blue is fish, not water.

'Asked' and 'not asked' are checked against every UPPCS question on this site. 'Not asked yet' does not mean it will surely come.
