First, the concept
Babur won the foundation battles, but his successors had to secure the empire. Humayun lost power to Sher Shah, recovered Delhi in 1555, and left a fragile throne to Akbar.
Sher Shah’s importance lies in combining conquest with practical government: measured revenue, written agreements, roads, sarais and a reliable currency. Match a battle’s location before memorising its date.
