UPPCS World Geography Gap Sheet: Grasslands and Natural Regions.

UPPCS has asked 12 of these. 3 have not been asked yet. Lock the first list, then read the second: it holds what UPPCS has not used yet.

First, the concept

Grass wins where rain is too little for forest but too much for desert. Tropical grasslands (savanna) have tall grass and scattered trees; temperate grasslands have short grass and are the world's wheat bowls.

Each continent gives its temperate grassland a local name. UPPCS asks the name with the continent or country.

⚠️ Pampas is Argentina, Veld is South Africa, Downs is Australia: do not swap them. Selvas is rain forest, not grassland. Llanos is in Venezuela, Campos in Brazil.

'Asked' and 'not asked' are checked against every UPPCS question on this site. 'Not asked yet' does not mean it will surely come.
