- (a) Assam — Miri
- (b) Nagaland — Konyak

The idea
Community names can have older spellings or alternative names. Match the people to their home region before judging the State pair. A widely dispersed community may be found in several States, so distinguish its main regional association from a claim of complete absence elsewhere.
Why the others are wrong
(a) Correct — the Miri (Mising) live in Assam.
(b) Correct — the Konyak are a Naga tribe.
(c) Correct — the Apatani live in Arunachal (Ziro).
Also know
Miri is an older name for Mising, while Lambada, Lambani and Banjara are related names used in different regions. Apatani are associated with the Ziro valley and its paddy–fish farming. Konyak and Lotha are distinct Naga communities; Karbi are associated with Assam’s Karbi Anglong.
🔒 Lambada/Banjara: Telangana, AP, Karnataka.
