- (a) 1, 2 and 5 only
- (b) 1, 2, 3 and 4 only
- (c) 3, 4 and 5 only
- (d) 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
Show the answer and explanation
Answer: (c) 3, 4 and 5 only
Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan border Afghanistan.
Why the others are wrong
(a) Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan do not border Afghanistan.
(b) Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan do not.
(d) Azerbaijan is across the Caspian; Kyrgyzstan is cut off by Tajikistan.
The trap
Kyrgyzstan is very close — the Wakhan corridor touches Tajikistan and China, not Kyrgyzstan.
🔒 Afghanistan borders: Pakistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, China (and India via PoK/Gilgit-Baltistan).
