Which one of the following is located in the Bastar region?

Show the answer and explanation

Answer: (d) Indravati National Park

Indravati National Park (Bijapur, Chhattisgarh) is in the Bastar region; it holds wild buffalo.

The idea

Bastar is the forested southern part of Chhattisgarh, drained by the Indravati, a tributary of the Godavari. A park named after that river is the natural match.

Bastar plateau → Indravati river flows west → Joins the Godavari → Indravati National Park lies on its bank

Why the others are wrong

(a) Bandhavgarh is in Madhya Pradesh.

(b) Dandeli is in Karnataka.

(c) Rajaji is in Uttarakhand.

Also know
